Suzanne Groth creates original art inspired by the Winery and Estate. They are now available for sale as posters.
Painting is an accidental hobby for me. I took a painting class because I needed an elective to graduate from college. Since then it has become a passion that I squeeze in on week-ends and evenings in between sales trips and wine events. The annual dead line at the winery of Reserve Cabernet Release day (the first week end in February) has become a few months of "all-nighters" in the fall to get the next painting in the series ready. The most recent paintings have focused on the last year's growth cycle of a Reserve Cabernet vine. We had to pull the vineyard for replanting in 2000 and each painting represents a season in that year. The Kubota is my dad's favorite tractor at the barn and the first painting, Block One, shows the Reserve Cabernet Vineyard in 1996.
